Divine Remedies Bath & Body was born not in a boardroom or a lab — but in a mother's kitchen, out of love for her son.

It Started with Rowan

Our son Rowan was diagnosed with Idiopathic Urticaria — chronic hives — as well as Eczema. For three years, doctors couldn't figure out why he kept breaking out. The worse his eczema got, the worse his hives became. After finally getting a biopsy and being placed on a treatment called Xolair for his hives, we could at last focus on caring for his Eczema.

We tried everything. Steroids. Countless over-the-counter medications. Multiple prescription treatments. Nothing worked. He couldn't use a single product from any store — not even the ones labeled "for sensitive skin." His skin would react to all of it.

Rowan was also diagnosed with Autism at age 2 and has been in speech therapy and occupational therapy since he was very young. He is one of the strongest, most resilient little people we know — and he deserved better than what was available on store shelves.

Back to Basics

Out of options, I sat down with my mom, and we made a decision to go back to basics. Strip everything down! Use the simplest, cleanest ingredients we could find and see what happened.

We started with Soap Bars. His skin began to clear. Encouraged, we moved on to making Lotion — and that was the turning point. When we added our handmade Lotion into his routine, his Eczema cleared completely.

Today, Rowan is a thriving 7-year-old boy. 💛

Once we saw what clean, simple ingredients could do for Rowan, we knew we couldn't keep it to ourselves. If our products could make that kind of difference for one child, imagine what they could do for others.

That's why Divine Remedies exists. Every product we make is still crafted by hand, in small batches, right here in Southwest Fort Wayne, Indiana — with the same care and intention we put into the very first bar of soap we made for our son.
